Trendy Trees

These are some of my most favourite cards ever! The first (Chocolate Chip base) I have CASED straight from Kirsty Brown (how surprising???) - the only change I think I have made is to use Baja Breeze cardstock instead of the Bashful Blue I think (??) Kirsty has used, but other then that...I love this card though, for its simplicity of design, but still so striking. I have stamped the trees on the inside and the trunks (only on the insde) I have just eyeballed - I certainly used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the trunks on the cards main image...

So while I had this card layout in mind I made up another batch of cards using a colour combo that I have fallen IN LOVE with - Baja Breeze and Barely Banana along with some Haiku DSP. I LOVE this DSP - it is one of my absolute favourites, and whilst the yellow in the DSP is meant to be So Saffron (I think) I really like the softer yellow of the Barely Banana.

I amended the measurements to the A2 box you've seen on this blog a number of times to accomodate matching envelopes and made a card to go with this gift set to give away to a very special friend!!!
