My Favourite Project

Another Birthday..this time my niece's 21st so I went to work to cover a notebook that would become a journal for her. The Vintage Vogue set and the Bird Punch are sooo excellent to create something feminine, pretty and a little classy. I'm happy with how it came out and so was my niece! If anyone is interested in making something like this in August...let me know and if there is enough interest I will run a class!

Finally....

I got to sit down last for the first time in almost 3 weeks and craft - and it felt FABULOUS!!!!!!!! We've been re-arranging our house and my craft stuff has been 're-located' and un-usable for the past couple of weeks and its been killing me, but finally I got to sit down in my new little space and start creating. Feeling a little rusty and these aren't the best cards i've ever made but boy, it was FUN!!!! Totally theraputic - I felt so happy making these cards...

And here they are...couldnt' decide which bad photo was worse than the others so you have them all :)

Obviously using the gorgeous 'Fox and Friends' set from the Autumn mini - I love this set but am a little flumoxed as to how to use it??? Basically just created my own dsp here with random stamping of some of the images in soft colours - I like all these colours together...

Stamps: Fox & Friends, Best Yet, Little Angel, Polka Dot Background
Ink: Certainly Celery, Barely Banana, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Tangerine Tango
CS: Barely Banana, Baja Breeze, Sage Shadow, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette
Other: Big Shot Polka Dot Impressions Die, Blossoms Three Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large oval Punch, So Saffron Striped Ribbon, Ice Brads, 2 Step Bird Punch, Crystal Effects

Thanks for stopping by and come again soon!!!! Don't forget our project class this saturday if you're interested there are still a few spots left!!!

Project Class for Sat 31st July

Hello hello hellooooo!!!!!! I feel like such a stranger!!!! Don't have anything new to show you but thought I'd pop up a few photo's of the Chipboard Box/bag's that we'll be making at the next project class if any of you are interested in attending.

Price is $20 to make either one of the box/bags with 4 matching notecards and envelopes. Perfect for a home-made gift, or keep for yourself and use the notecards when giving away other gifts or when you're in need of that perfect little card just to say 'hello' or 'thinking of you'??? They're really really cute in real life and lots of fun to make/decorate AND super sturdy thanks to the chipboard so I really hope you'll join me...

If you're in the Brisbane area and would like to book in just email me and let me know you're in and I will send you bank details so you can pay and reserve your seat and address details too. Please let me know as well whether you'd like to make the Baja Breeze/blue option or the Haiku/orange option...

Really really hope to see you there...

Hugs and kisses

Pocket Silhouettes

Adele and I went for three days away a couple of weeks ago and here is one of the cards we made with one of our all time favourite sets...Pocket Silhouettes. The combination of a little DSP, the natural leaves and stems and just a touch of linen thread make for a nice 'earthy' card that can be used for any occasion. Love stampin'...there are endless variations of cards to make!!

More One of A Kind

I told you there would be more!!! Again these cards are really quite simple because the brilliant punches do all the hard work and all I have to do is arrange the pieces...yay for quick and easy!
Just a quick thank you to all those who attended the Stamp-a-stack...it was fun and you all did such a fantastic job, especially Sarah T. who had never stamped or made a card before...you were great! Hope to see you all at future classes.

One of A Kind

I've only recently discovered this set called, One of A Kind. Funny that I never really noticed it before! The beauty of it is that it corresponds perfectly with the Boho Blossoms Punch which makes for very easy, quick cards. All you do is stamp the images and then punch them out...I have used the large stamp wheel for the background and then stamped the large flower as the focus and simply punched out all the other flowers, covered some in dazzling diamonds and then used dimensionals to place the flowers. I am going to do some more cards using this set...so look out for some more quick but cute designs!!

Do You Love Your Neighbours??

I have taken a fancy to one of the Sale-a-bration free sets again and put these cute little houses to good use. I have to say that I love them to bits and they look so adorable. Only one important tip... and that is you MUST use the Stamp-a-majig or you end up with very crooked houses! I have left some of the cards without sentiments (I've started leaving one or two blank with all the cards I make now, because sometimes you just need a blank card!) so I can write whatever I need to for the occasion. I already have some great reasons to use these cards...old friends have moved back into the area, new families have moved in at church and our next door neighbours are selling up and moving. Better start writing now!

Hope you like them...I have cased and then slightly changed or been inspired by others to create these cards...

Stamp-a-stack Time!!

These are the cards we will be making in the upcoming Stamp-a-stack class on Saturday 17th July at 7pm at my house....8 cards and envelopes in total. The cost of the class is $20 and it includes ALL materials, including tapes/glues.
I have chosen the gorgeous level 1 hostess set - Organic Grace and have chosen two colour themes which I am loving at the moment!
So far I have 6 people booked in for the class, which means I have only 2 spots left! Those who have previously booked in need to pay their money this week (cash, Bpay), prior to the class so that your spot is confirmed. If you don't have my details just send me an email and I will give you the Bpay details and make sure you have my address!!
Ok, see you on Saturday...

Echoes of Kindness

So we haven't posted anything for awhile....but we're back! Adele and I have been enjoying the holidays and letting our creative juices rest (just for a little while!) but we have also tried some new things and come up with some lovely cards.
I got out a level 2 hostess set (Echoes of Kindness) and decided I needed to try all four stamps in the set and make a bunch of cards to showcase how beautiful and versatile the flowers are in this set. They look great in all colours and I can't decide which flower I love the best. I think these cards will be a future stamp a stack class for sure!!

Look out for some more of our 'holiday cards' posts soon!!
